These boards are the gold standard for certifying neurological surgeons in the United States and are widely seen as the pinnacle worldwide for certification. Other entities say they certify but do not have the same rigorous standards. Search the above links to make sure your child’s neurosurgeon is among the best.
• All our pediatric neurosurgeons have trained at elite pediatric hospitals in the USA where they have seen the most complex cases from international referrals. As medical studies have shown, children’s outcomes depends largely on the experience and technical expertise of their neurosurgeon.
• Choose a pediatric neurosurgeon that is dedicated fully to children. At Premier pediatric neurosurgery we operate only on kids and your child’s care should only be placed in the hands of a full-time pediatric pediatric neurosurgeon. When you make your appointment, a member of our pediatric neurosurgery team will go over everything you’ll need for your visit. A few items to remember to bring:

• Insurance card(s)
• Referrals or authorizations from your child’s pediatrician if applicable
• All medical records and tests, such as imaging studies (MRI/CAT scans), x-rays or lab tests for your child’s condition
• List of your child’s medications

We are always available to offer a second opinion for your child’s treatment and to set up a consultation with one of our specialists.
